Web scraping services and automation scripts for business
My web scraping services are for businesses that need data from websites and systems on a schedule, without anyone copying and pasting it. I write scripts that collect it, clean it, put it where your team works and run every day on your own server. The part I have proven in production is the automation around the data: scheduled pipelines, bulk imports and syncs that are safe to rerun and tell you when something breaks.
What’s included
- Custom web scraping script for public pages, catalogs, listings or portals you have access to
- Headless browser scraping for sites that build pages with JavaScript
- Data sync between systems: CRM, ERP, accounting, website and spreadsheets
- Bulk CSV and Excel imports with validation and an error report
- Scheduled reports by email, Telegram or Google Sheets
- Cron job development and queue workers that are safe to retry
- Change detection, so a broken source raises an alert instead of saving bad data
- Output as CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, a MySQL table or an API endpoint
Web scraping services for small businesses: what I build
I build the kind of scripts that quietly run a business: checking competitor or supplier prices every morning, pulling new listings from a directory into your CRM, downloading reports from a portal you log in to every week, or moving orders from one system into another. The scraping is one step. The value is in what happens after: cleaning, de-duplicating, matching against your records and delivering the result where people already work.
This is not a data-as-a-service operation. I do not sell datasets, run proxy farms or crawl millions of pages a day. If you need large-scale data feeds across thousands of sites, a managed data provider is the better buyer decision. If you need a reliable script that does one job well on a schedule you control, that is what I do.
Is web scraping legal? An honest answer
It depends on what you collect, how you collect it and what you do with it. Reading public, non-personal information such as product prices or published specifications is generally lower risk. Risk rises when a site's terms of service forbid automated access, when you collect personal data that falls under laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, when you republish copyrighted content, or when a script gets around a login or access control you are not authorized to pass.
My rules are simple. I look for an official API, export or data feed first, because that is more stable and usually allowed. I respect robots.txt and rate limits and keep request volumes polite. I do not bypass CAPTCHAs, paywalls or access controls, and I only automate logins to accounts you own or are authorized to use. I am a developer, not a lawyer: if the data matters commercially or involves personal information, get legal advice before we build.
How I build a custom web scraping script that keeps working
Most scrapers fail quietly. The site changes a class name, the script keeps running and saves empty prices for three weeks before anyone notices. My PHP web scraping setup is built to fail loudly instead.
- Static pages are fetched with Guzzle and parsed with Symfony DomCrawler; pages that render with JavaScript use a headless browser through Symfony Panther or Browsershot
- Before parsing HTML, I check whether the page loads its data from a JSON endpoint, which is far more stable to read
- Every run validates its output against expected fields and counts; if results drop sharply or fields go empty, it alerts you and keeps the last good data
- Raw responses are kept for a short period, so a broken run can be debugged and replayed without hitting the site again
- Requests are throttled, retried with backoff and identified honestly, so the script does not hammer anyone's server
- Results land in staging tables first, are de-duplicated on natural keys such as SKU or URL, and only then merged into your data
Automation scripts for business: data sync, imports and cron jobs
This is the part of the work I have shipped in production. On the brokerage risk platform I worked on scheduled data pipelines that pull from several sources into one back office, plus automated database maintenance such as table partitioning. On the export operations ERP I built batched bulk imports with validation, so large files load in safe chunks instead of one fragile request.
The same principles apply to automation scripts for business of any size. Data sync between systems runs as small, idempotent jobs, so rerunning a failed sync never creates duplicates. Long imports are split into batches inside queued jobs. Cron job development in Laravel uses the scheduler with overlap protection, so a slow run never starts twice, and queue workers run under a process supervisor so they restart after a crash. Failures land in a failed-jobs table and send an alert by email or Telegram.
Why work with me as your web scraping developer
A web scraping developer who has only written one-off scripts will hand you something that works on the day of delivery. I run scheduled jobs in production for live business systems, so I build for the morning six months later when a source changes, the server reboots or an API is down. You deal directly with me, the engineer who writes and maintains the code.
I work in PHP 8 and Laravel, deploy on Linux over SSH or on cPanel and WHM, and connect results to the systems you use through API development and integration. When scraped text needs reading rather than parsing, for example pulling fields out of messy listings, I can add an AI extraction step with the same validation rules. I am based in India and work remotely with clients in different time zones.
Custom script, Zapier or Make, and what affects the cost
No-code tools such as Zapier or Make are the right choice when both systems have ready-made connectors and the volume is small. A custom script makes sense when there is no connector, when per-task pricing grows with volume, when the logic has real rules (matching, de-duplication, tax or stock calculations), or when the data should not pass through a third party.
For web scraping services and automation work alike, a fixed quote follows a short call or a written brief. It depends on how many sources there are and whether they need a headless browser, how often the job runs, how much cleaning and matching the data needs, where the output goes, and whether you want ongoing monitoring and fixes when sources change.
How the work runs
Define the data and check the source
We agree on exactly which fields you need, how often and in what format. I check for an official API or export first, and review the source's terms before planning any scraping.
Prototype on a sample
I build the extraction for a small sample and send you the output file, so you can confirm fields and format before the full build.
Build with checks and alerts
The full script gets validation, staging tables, de-duplication, logging and alerting. Imports and syncs are written to be safe to rerun.
Schedule and deploy
The job goes onto your server as a cron entry or a Laravel scheduled task, with queue workers under a supervisor where needed. You get access to the code and the logs.
Monitor and maintain
Sources change. I can stay on a small monthly arrangement to fix breakages quickly, or hand over notes so your own developer can.

Questions
Is web scraping legal?
Scraping public, non-personal data is generally lower risk, but terms of service, personal data laws and copyright can all change the answer. I check for an official API first, respect robots.txt and rate limits, and never bypass access controls. For commercially sensitive or personal data, get legal advice before we build.
Can you scrape sites behind a login or Cloudflare?
I can automate logins to accounts you own or are authorized to use, such as a supplier portal. I do not bypass CAPTCHAs, bot protection or paywalls; if a site actively blocks automation, we look for an API, a data export or a different source.
What format do I get the data in?
Whatever your team uses: CSV, Excel, a Google Sheet, a table in your MySQL database or an API endpoint your other software can call. Many clients get a daily file by email plus the data in their own system.
Can it run daily without anyone touching it?
Yes, that is the point. It runs as a cron job or Laravel scheduled task on your server, logs every run and alerts you only when something needs attention.
What happens when the target site changes?
The script notices, because every run checks its output against expected fields and counts. It alerts you and keeps the last good data instead of saving blanks, and the fix is usually small.
What if a job fails halfway?
Jobs are designed to be idempotent, so rerunning one is safe and never creates duplicates. Failures are logged with enough detail to recover, and batches that already succeeded are not repeated.
Should I use a custom script or Zapier and Make?
Use Zapier or Make when ready-made connectors exist and the volume is low. Choose a custom script when there is no connector, the logic is complex, per-task costs are climbing, or the data should stay on your own server.
Are you a web scraping company in Ahmedabad?
I am a freelance developer based in Ahmedabad, not a company, and I work with clients in India and abroad. You deal directly with the person who writes and maintains your scripts.
