ChatGPT integration services for websites and business software
My ChatGPT integration services add OpenAI features to the PHP, Laravel or WordPress software you already run, where they save real time: reading invoices and documents into structured data, answering customer questions from your own content, and drafting the repetitive text your team writes every day. I have built this in production for AI invoice capture, and I keep the same rule everywhere: AI prepares, a person confirms, and nothing important is saved without a check.
What’s included
- AI document extraction: invoices, bills, purchase orders and forms into structured fields
- AI chatbot for website visitors that answers from your pages, products and documents
- Drafting helpers: replies, summaries, product descriptions and follow-up emails
- Classification and routing of tickets, leads and emails
- Review screens so people confirm AI output before it is saved
- Duplicate detection and validation rules before anything reaches your records
- Cost controls: token budgets, model choice per task, caching and usage logs
- Privacy controls: sending only the fields a task needs, and redacting logs
ChatGPT integration services: what I build and who it is for
A ChatGPT API integration is your application calling OpenAI's models with your data and your rules, then doing something useful with the answer: filling a form, replying in a chat window, tagging a record. It is different from your staff using ChatGPT in a browser tab, because the AI works inside your workflow, with your permissions, logs and checks around it.
This fits businesses with a website, CRM, ERP or internal tool in PHP or Laravel that have a repetitive task built on reading or writing text. Good ChatGPT integration services start from one narrow task, and the usual ones are supplier invoices typed in by hand, the same ten customer questions answered every day, and support or sales emails that need sorting.
It is not a good fit if you want to train your own model from scratch, or if no one can describe what a correct answer looks like. If a general chatbot widget with no access to your data is enough, an off-the-shelf tool will be cheaper, and I will say so.
What building AI invoice capture taught me about AI document extraction
In the AI invoice capture project, the OpenAI API reads invoice images and PDFs and turns them into prefilled purchase invoices across four business ERP/CRM systems, with accounting sync, duplicate detection and human review. Three lessons from that work shape every AI document extraction feature I build.
- Prefill, never auto-save. The model's output fills a form that a person checks and confirms. Mistakes cost one click to fix instead of a wrong entry in the books.
- Ask for structure, then check it. The model returns structured data with the fields the form needs, and the result only prefills the purchase invoice. Code checks what it can, such as required fields and formats, before a person sees it.
- Check for duplicates before review. The same supplier bill can be uploaded twice. Flagging a likely duplicate before a person spends time reviewing it saves more effort than any prompt tweak.
AI chatbot for website visitors that answers from your content
A useful AI chatbot for website visitors answers from your own material: service pages, product catalog, policies, PDFs and FAQs. The pattern is retrieval: your content is split into passages and indexed, the passages most relevant to each question are fetched, and the model answers only from those, with links to the source page.
The details decide whether visitors trust it. The bot should say it does not know when the answer is not in your content, hand over to a person by email or WhatsApp when the question is about an order or a complaint, and refuse instructions hidden in a visitor's message that try to change its rules. I add rate limits per visitor, store conversations for review, and keep a small test set of real questions so we can see whether a change made answers better or worse. Chatbots are offered work built on the same API patterns as the invoice project, not a shipped case study I can show yet.
Laravel OpenAI integration, done properly
For a Laravel OpenAI integration I use the openai-php/laravel client and OpenAI's Responses API. The older Assistants API was shut down in August 2026, so anything still built on it needs moving, and new work should not start there. For core PHP, CodeIgniter or WordPress, the same calls work through the plain openai-php client or a simple HTTP client, so ChatGPT API PHP work does not require Laravel. I wrote up the patterns in using the OpenAI API in Laravel.
- Slow calls such as document extraction run as queued jobs, so a user never waits on a spinning page and a timeout does not lose the upload
- Rate-limit and server errors are retried with backoff; other failures are logged with enough context to replay
- Structured outputs with a JSON schema for anything that fills a form
- Streaming responses for chat, so answers appear as they are written
- A smaller, cheaper model for classification and short tasks, a stronger one only where reasoning is needed
- Per-user and per-day token budgets, with usage stored per feature so you can see what each one costs
Why hire me as your ChatGPT developer
If you want to hire ChatGPT developer help, the AI call is the smallest part of the job. The hard part is the business system around it: invoice forms, supplier records, tax fields, accounting sync and user permissions. That is my daily work as a senior Laravel and PHP engineer, across ERPs, CRMs including Perfex CRM and the REST APIs and integrations that connect them.
You talk directly to the engineer who writes the code, and I am honest about what AI should not do in your workflow. I am based in India and work remotely with clients in different time zones; we agree on update times at the start. Agencies that sell OpenAI integration services often hand the work to a junior developer after the sales call. With me, the person on the call is the person who builds it.
What drives ChatGPT API integration cost
There are two costs. The build is a one-time fixed quote from me after a short call or a written brief. Usage is billed by OpenAI to your own account per token, so you see it directly and it scales with how much the feature is used. I estimate usage from your sample documents or expected chat volume before you commit.
The build cost depends on how many document types or use cases there are, how accurate the result must be and how much review screen that requires, how much content a chatbot must cover, how many systems the result must sync to, and whether answers are needed in more than one language.
How the work runs
Pick one task and collect real samples
We choose the single task with the clearest payoff and gather twenty or more real examples: actual invoices, actual customer questions, actual emails. Clean demo data hides the hard cases.
Prototype and measure
I test prompts, schemas and models against your samples and show you the results field by field, including the failures, so we agree on what good enough means before building screens.
Build it into your system
The feature goes into your existing app with queued jobs, a review screen, validation rules and duplicate checks, using your users and permissions.
Add guardrails
Token budgets, usage logging per feature, redacted logs, retries and alerts go in before launch, not after the first surprising bill.
Launch, watch and tune
We roll out to a few users first, review what they corrected, and adjust prompts and rules from real usage. The corrections become the test set for future changes.

Questions
How much does ChatGPT API integration cost?
You pay a one-time fixed quote for the build and OpenAI's per-token usage on your own account. Usage for a focused task such as invoice extraction is usually modest, and I estimate it from your samples before you commit. The build quote depends on the number of use cases, review screens and integrations.
Is my data used to train OpenAI's models?
OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models unless you opt in. I still send only the fields a task needs, strip personal data where possible and redact logs. If your contracts restrict where data can go, tell me early and we design around it.
Can the chatbot answer from my own documents and products?
Yes, that is the main reason to build one. Your pages, catalog and PDFs are indexed, the most relevant passages are retrieved for each question, and the bot answers from those with links to the source. When the answer is not there, it says so and offers a human contact.
Can you add AI to my existing Laravel or WordPress site?
Usually yes, without a rebuild. The feature calls the OpenAI API from your current PHP application or a small WordPress plugin, and uses your existing users and data.
Will AI make mistakes in my data?
It can, which is why AI output prefills forms rather than saving directly. A person reviews it, and validation rules and duplicate checks run first. Over time, the corrections people make show where prompts or rules need work.
Which OpenAI model should I use?
Use the smallest model that passes your test samples. Classification and short extraction tasks often run well on a small, cheap model, and only complex reasoning needs a larger one. Model names change often, so I test current options against your samples instead of picking by name.
How do you stop the chatbot from making things up?
It is told to answer only from retrieved passages and to say when it does not know, and it links to its sources so visitors can check. I also keep a test set of real questions and rerun it after every change, which catches regressions before visitors do.
