Schema markup services: hand-written JSON-LD that matches your pages
My schema markup services add hand-written JSON-LD structured data to your site, so search engines can read who you are, what you sell and what each page is about. I pick the types that fit your pages, generate the markup from the same data the page displays, and validate every template before release. I am also straight with you about which rich results Google still shows, because that list got noticeably shorter in 2026.
What’s included
- Schema markup audit of what you have now: errors, warnings, duplicate graphs and plugins that contradict each other
- Organization or a specific LocalBusiness subtype with address, phone, opening hours, logo and sameAs profiles
- Product and Offer markup with price, availability, identifiers, shipping and return details for merchant listings
- Article or BlogPosting markup with real authors and dates, plus BreadcrumbList on every template
- Event, JobPosting, Recipe, SoftwareApplication, VacationRental or VideoObject where your content genuinely fits
- A connected graph with stable @id values, so Organization, WebSite, pages, products and authors reference each other
- Validation in Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator on staging, then monitoring in Search Console
- Short handover notes showing which field in your CMS or database drives each property
What schema markup services cover, and who they are for
Schema markup is a block of structured data, written in the Schema.org vocabulary, that states facts a crawler would otherwise have to guess: this page is a product, this is its price in euros, this clinic closes at 6 pm on Saturdays, this article was written by this person. Google recommends the JSON-LD format because it sits in its own script tag, apart from your HTML, and is easy to generate from a database or content file.
These schema markup services suit online stores that want product details in search results, local businesses that need one clean and consistent business record, blogs and publishers, SaaS sites with software and pricing pages, and agencies that want a developer to implement markup across client sites. They are not worth a project if you run a five-page brochure site with no products, events or articles. You need an Organization block and breadcrumbs, and I will tell you so on the first call.
Which rich results Google still shows in 2026
Structured data makes a page eligible for certain search features. It never guarantees them, and Google has retired several over the last few years. HowTo rich results went in 2023. In 2025 Google dropped features such as Course info, Estimated salary, Learning video, Special announcement and Vehicle listing. FAQ rich results, already limited to well-known government and health sites since 2023, stopped appearing for every site on May 7, 2026.
Plenty is still live. Going by Google's search gallery as of October 2026, these are the features worth planning around. I start from this list and from what your pages actually show, not from the hundreds of types Schema.org defines.
- Product snippets and merchant listings: price, availability, shipping, returns and ratings from genuine customer reviews
- Local business details, plus Organization logo and contact information
- Article, Breadcrumb, Video, Image metadata and Profile page
- Event, Job posting, Recipe, Course list, Vacation rental and Software app
- Discussion forum and Q&A for community and support sites
- Review snippets, for reviews of products and other things, not a business praising itself
Does schema markup help SEO, AI Overviews or ChatGPT?
Schema markup is not a ranking factor on its own. Its value is clarity and eligibility: correct markup can win a richer listing for the features above, and it helps search engines tie your pages to the right entity, meaning your business, your products and your authors.
On AI search, be careful what you are sold. Google's guide to its generative AI features, published in May 2026, says structured data is not required for AI Overviews or AI Mode and that there is no special schema.org markup to add for them. Other AI systems do not publish how they use markup at all. My view: accurate markup is cheap hygiene once it is generated from your data, but "schema for AI search" sold as a shortcut to citations is marketing. If AI visibility is your real goal, my AI search optimization work covers what matters more, such as crawler access, content and brand signals.
Schema markup implementation on WordPress, Laravel and Next.js
Most schema problems I find are not missing markup. They are duplicate and contradictory markup. Yoast or Rank Math outputs one Organization, the theme outputs a second with an old logo, a reviews plugin adds an aggregateRating to every page, and the three graphs disagree about the business name. Search Console then reports errors on templates nobody remembers touching.
Good schema markup for WordPress means deciding which plugin owns the graph, switching off the overlaps, and extending it with filters or a small custom plugin instead of pasting static JSON into a page builder, where it goes stale the day prices change. It pairs naturally with WordPress SEO. On Laravel, plain PHP and Next.js sites I build the JSON-LD from the same model or content file that renders the page, so the price in the markup cannot drift from the price on screen. Google's guidelines say markup must describe content the visitor can see, and misleading markup can lead to a manual action.
This website is the working example. Every route outputs JSON-LD generated from its content files: Person and WebSite on the home page, Service, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage on each service page, BlogPosting and BreadcrumbList on articles. The FAQ markup no longer earns a rich result, but it describes real questions visible on the page, so it stays.
Local business schema and product schema: the two that pay off most
For a local business, local business schema backs up your Google Business Profile with a consistent name, address, phone number, opening hours, coordinates and the most specific subtype available (Dentist, Plumber or LegalService rather than plain LocalBusiness). It must match the profile and your footer character for character. One common surprise: Google recommends review and aggregateRating markup on local business pages only for sites that collect reviews about other businesses, so marking up your own testimonials will not give you stars. My local SEO services for small businesses cover the profile side, and the post on local business schema examples shows complete blocks.
For a store, product schema carries what shoppers compare: price and currency, availability, condition, GTIN or MPN, shipping cost and return policy. WooCommerce outputs part of this by default, but variable products, scheduled sale prices and out-of-stock variants are where the output usually breaks. I test those cases specifically, not one simple product, and check the merchant listings report in Search Console afterwards.
Why hire a developer for schema, and what affects the cost
Schema is code generated from data, so it belongs with someone who can read your templates. With me you work directly with the engineer writing it: no account manager relaying questions and no hand-off to a junior. I am a senior software engineer in Ahmedabad, India, I work remotely with clients in different time zones, and we agree on update times at the start.
The cost of schema markup services depends on templates, not page count. A store with 3,000 products may have only three templates. The other drivers are your platform and how much plugin markup needs untangling, how many types you need, whether data such as GTINs, opening hours or author profiles already exists in your system, and whether you want ongoing monitoring after release. After a short call or a written brief I send a fixed quote. If schema is one issue among several, a technical SEO audit is the better starting point.
How the work runs
Crawl and inventory
I crawl the site with Screaming Frog, extract every JSON-LD and microdata block, and record which template, theme or plugin produced it, with its errors and contradictions.
Map types to templates
We agree which Schema.org types each template should carry, based on what is visible on the page and which Google features it can actually qualify for.
Build from your data
I write the markup as code tied to your real fields, with stable @id values that join Organization, WebSite, pages, products and authors into one graph.
Validate on staging
Each template goes through the Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator, including awkward cases such as missing images, sale prices and multiple locations.
Release and monitor
After launch I inspect sample URLs in Search Console, watch the enhancement reports for a few weeks and hand over notes on what drives each property.

Questions
Does schema markup help SEO?
Indirectly, yes. It is not a ranking factor by itself, but it makes pages eligible for richer listings and removes ambiguity about what a page or business is. A richer listing can earn more clicks, though no one can honestly promise how many.
Will schema markup get me star ratings or FAQ dropdowns in Google?
FAQ dropdowns, no: Google stopped showing FAQ rich results for all sites on May 7, 2026. Star ratings can still appear for products, recipes, software and similar items when the ratings come from genuine reviews, but not for a business marking up its own testimonials. Even with valid markup, Google decides query by query whether to show a rich result.
Should I remove the FAQ schema from my site now?
There is no need if it marks up real questions and answers that visitors can see on the page. Google has said unused structured data causes no problems; it simply has no visible effect. I do remove FAQ markup that was added to pages with no visible FAQ, because that breaks Google's guidelines.
Is a plugin or custom JSON-LD better?
A plugin is fine for a standard blog or brochure site, and I configure Yoast or Rank Math properly before writing anything custom. Custom JSON-LD makes sense for custom post types, multiple locations, complex products or a non-WordPress stack. Often the answer is both: the plugin owns the base graph and a small extension adds what it cannot.
Which schema types does my site need?
Your pages decide. Most sites need Organization or a LocalBusiness subtype, WebSite and BreadcrumbList; stores add Product, publishers add Article, and event or job sites add their own types. Marking up content that is not visible on the page goes against Google's guidelines, so I never add types just because they exist.
What does a schema markup audit include?
I extract the structured data from a sample of every template, test it, and report errors, warnings, duplicates and conflicts between plugins, plus missing types worth adding. You get a prioritized list with the fix for each item, and I can implement it or hand it to your developer.
How do you test and maintain schema markup?
Before release I validate each template in the Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator. After release, Search Console's enhancement reports show errors site-wide. Theme and plugin updates are the usual cause of markup breaking later, so a quick check after major updates is worth it.
How long does schema markup implementation take?
A small business site is usually a few working days including testing. Stores and sites with several custom templates take longer, mostly because of edge cases in the data rather than the markup itself. You get a timeline together with the fixed quote.
